NTHA are seeking a 1st Year Joinery Apprentice to come on board our host employer's team

NTHA is a nationally registered Group Training Organisation that employs and supports trainees & apprentices by placing them with host employers for quality, paid hands-on training and experience.

Our host is a long-established, family-owned joinery business known for crafting high-quality timber products that combine traditional techniques with modern designs. Their experienced team of joiners and wood machinists take great pride in their workmanship, creating custom joinery and restoration pieces with care and precision.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a 1st Year Joinery Apprentice to join an experienced and friendly team and begin working toward a Certificate III in Joinery (CPC31920).

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting with the manufacture and assembly of timber joinery products
• Learning to operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
• Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for production
• Reading and interpreting plans and technical drawings
• Sanding, fitting, and finishing timber components
• Helping to match mouldings and timber profiles for restoration work
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Supporting qualified joiners and tradespeople on the job

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
• A genuine interest in timber, woodworking, and design
• Full working and study rights in Australia
• Willingness to learn and attention to detail
• Reliable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport
• A valid White Card (Construction Induction Certificate) or willingness to obtain one
• Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment
• A positive attitude and commitment to completing the apprenticeship
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
