About the role

COMM-ENG P/L' is seeking an experienced Data Cabling Technician to join our team in our Melbourne, VIC 3000 office. This full-time role will be responsible for installing and maintaining data cabling infrastructure to meet the needs of our clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Install data cabling, including structured cabling, fibre optic and wireless network infrastructure
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on existing data cabling systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data cabling and network connectivity
  • Maintain detailed documentation and records of all cabling work performed
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to deliver projects on time and to specification

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Data Cabling Technician or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of data cabling standards, protocols and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Relevant technical certifications or qualifications
