24 Hour Priority Care Australia (24HPCA) are looking for an experienced, qualified, and professional full time Team Leader Youth & Disability Services to work with a small team of Area Managers to support clients, participants and staff across our Labour Hire, TCP, Residential & Disability Services as we work with vulnerable children, young people and adults across Northern, Western and Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This is an exciting new position to support the further expansion of 24HPCA Labour Hire and Disability Services (NDIS Provider) into a Community Services Organisation.
About the Role:
The Team Leader Youth & Disability Services will be an important member of our team delivering a range of services and programs provided by 24HPCA, ensuring we provide professional, trained and culturally informed Disability and Residential Support Workers to our Community Services Organisation clients and participants.
Your leadership will drive a culture of best practice, innovation and continuous improvement.
Key duties can include:
- The Team Leader Youth & Disability Services role directs 24HPCA staff in providing high quality care while supporting children and young people in care to thrive.
- Ensuring the provision of quality services in all 24HPCA programs in accordance with departmental, regulatory, objectives.
- Engaging and developing robust relationships with key stakeholders delivered with a customer service approach.
- Leads the development and review of disability and residential support practices and drives the implementation, compliance, and successful outcomes of these via collaboration across the team.
- Collaboration with all regulatory and departmental stakeholders – ensuring professional and therapeutic frameworks and approaches are in place across all services and programs.
- Work collaboratively with other 24HPCA leaders to ensure that a cohesive team delivers the best and most consistent results for our clients across 24HPCA
- Fulfilling reporting requirements in relation to the vulnerable adults, children and young people and our workers, including case management, safety plans, positive behaviour plans and other legislative requirements.
- Lead the supervision of a team of Residential & Disability Support Worker professionals, facilitation of team meetings, supervision and performance management, where necessary.
- Support Residential & Disability Support Workers via after hours on-call manager rotation.
- Lead the professional operational support for incident and risk management.

About You:
Our idealTeam Leader Youth & Disability Services will showcase a solid track record of managing services with strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to quickly develop rapport with young people. You will be able to think on your feet and work autonomously as required. Remain calm and level-headed under pressure and have knowledge of how trauma, family violence, alcohol, and other drugs affect young people.
You will meet the following requirements:
Have completed Tertiary qualifications in Management, Business, Allied Health, Community Services or equivalent.
Have completed or willing to undertake the required following Industry Mandatory units:
- CHCPRT009 - Provide primary residential care / CHCPRT033 Provide support to children and youth in out of home care.
- CHCPRT010 / CHCPRT034 - Work with children and young people with complex trauma and attachment issues and needs.
- CHCMHS007 - Work effectively in trauma informed care.
- CHCCCS009 - Facilitate responsible behaviour.
The following are also required to obtain employment with 24 Hour Priority Care Australia:
- Current First Aid Certificate with up-to-date CPR.
- 22558VIC Supporting People with Disability to Use Medications Course or equivalent.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check (employee).
- Current and Valid Police Check - (International Police Check if required)
- Minimum P2 - Victorian Driver's License.
- Full right to work or equivalent.
