The position is FIFO from Perth, Broome or Darwin with flights to Onslow or Paraburdoo, followed by a two-hour transfer to site. DIDO options are available from Onslow, Exmouth, Karratha, Dampier, and surrounding areas. The site, Paulsens, is located in the Ashburton Basin of the Eastern Pilbara, 211 km east of Onslow and 180 km west of Paraburdoo.
The roster is 15/13, alternating between day and night shift each roster cycle.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for Underground Fitters interested in joining our team.
Our Underground Fitters are responsible for maintaining and servicing underground equipment, both in the underground environment and the surface workshop. The heavy machinery our Maintenance team work on includes Sandvik 663i Trucks, Cat R1700G Boggers, Sandvik DL431 Long Hole and DD421 Jumbos.
About You
We are looking for people with positive and motivated 'can do' attitudes, able to work collaboratively, and with a diverse range of people across all levels who understand we are all in this together.
In addition, we require the following:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience working in an underground mine on similar equipment.
- C Class license.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to plan and carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance.
