Are you ready to shape the future of education in one of Australia's most culturally rich and remote regions? We're seeking a passionate, community-driven experienced Team Leader to champion tertiary education access and success across East Arnhem Land.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you'll be the heartbeat of our Regional University Hub—supporting First Nations students, coordinating local learning programs, and building strong relationships with universities, training providers, and community organisations. You'll lead a small team with big purpose: to make higher education more accessible, relevant, and empowering for remote learners.

Your Mission

  • Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the Hub and support and mentor our other Coordinators in Hubs across East Arnhem Land
  • Support students with enrolment, study pathways, and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with universities and training providers to deliver flexible learning
  • Build trust and engagement with internal & external stakeholders
  • Champion First Nations Peoples education & knowledge, voices, and aspirations

What You'll Bring

  • 2 years plus in a similar RUSH role - experience mentoring and supporting educators working in remote locations and in the delivery of education services to First Nations Peoples.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origin.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills
  • Experience using an electronic student management system and in reviewing, operationalising, and acquitting Government grants and contracts.
  • A deep respect for cultural protocols and community-led decision-making
  • Passion for education, equity, and social impact
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in dynamic environments
  • An unrestricted NT C class driver's license or ability to obtain.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Or willingness to achieve.
