Our client, an Australian based Multi National Company is currently looking for a Accounts Payable / Admin Assistant to join their growing team.They operate in the fast moving and innovative technology sector offering among other products, POS, Touch Screen and Mobility and Security solutions.

The primary focus of this role will be to assist the experienced Accounts Payable and Inwards Goods Costing team in managing daily operational tasks. Training can be provided in all functions of the position and support given within an experienced team for a diligent candidate with fantastic attention to detail who would like to pursue a career in Finance Administration.

We are also interested in candidates experienced in Accounts Payable, who are looking for a long term, secure varied role in a friendly team working for a company with a positive culture, that appreciates their employees.

This is a Full Time position working 8.30am -5pm Monday - Friday. There is also flexibility to adjust the hours to 8am - 4.30pm or 9am -5.30pm depending on the ideal candidates preference. The succesfull candidate once confident in the role will also get to WFH 2 days per week, with the other 3 days working with the Finance Team in their Rosehill Office location with parking available onsite.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creditors (Duties are shared with an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader)

  • Check accuracy of invoices
  • Input and code invoices to correct GL
  • Process invoices
  • Match Invoices with Purchase Order (if applicable)
  • Send invoices to Manager for payment approval
  • Schedule pay runs based on standard company payment terms
  • Verify and process employee expense claims and co-manage the approval and payment process with the credit controller.
  • Process vendor applications
  • Update and maintain supplier database in a timely manner
  • Support the month end process by providing supporting documentation for month end journals.

Costing (duties are shared with an experienced Team Leader)

  • Ensure goods are costed into stock, checking that stock price matches Supplier invoiced price
  • Checking to ensure freight costs are correct and liaising with the Logistics Manager to identify and investigate any freight discrepancies
  • Manage the Accounts AU email inbox in relation to emails and correspondence relevant to performing the costing function and Administration duties detailed below.

In Summary this position entails:

  • Working analytically with a high volume of data while ensuring attention to detail to deliver consistently accurate outcomes in the key areas of responsibility.
  • Establishing and maintaining trustworthy relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Self-managing workload as part of a distributed team, asking for help when required, and offering help when able to.
  • Working under pressure, prioritising tasks as urgent, and being able to manage time and resources effectively to ensure expectations are exceeded
