About Us

Carpet Court is Australia's largest flooring retailer. Our Mount Barker team supplies carpet, hybrid, vinyl, timber and window furnishings to residential and commercial customers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Store person to keep our warehouse running smoothly - receiving flooring goods, cutting carpet, doing deliveries, job site assistance, stock control and inventory. As well as warehouse administration tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Receive, check and put-away stock - rolls and pallets (carpet, hybrid planks, vinyl, underlay, trims and adhesives).
  • Pick, cut and load daily jobs for installers.
  • Alert suppliers/management of any faults/damage to stock/deliveries.
  • Cut and measure carpet/vinyl rolls accurately (training provided).
  • Organise customer pickups and inter-store transfers.
  • Maintain tidy warehouse, safe walkways and compliant storage.
  • Maintain & monitor tidy car park, pallet storage and waste disposal.
  • Perform regular stock counts and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Update basic records in our system (PO's, delivery dockets).
  • Order underlay and other inventory items.
  • Liaise with suppliers and freight providers to track and monitor the arrive of stock for upcoming installations.
  • Liaise with staff/management at all 3 stores regarding orders.
  • Operate forklifts/roll handlers safely.
  • Follow WHS procedures and help with continuous improvement.
  • Other adhoc tasks that maybe required.

What You'll Bring

Must have:

  • Solid reliability and punctuality (7:00am start).
  • Good physical fitness (manual handling, lifting up to 20-25 kgs with aids).
  • Attention to detail with numbers, measurements and labels.
  • Motivated.
  • Basic computer skills (email, printing paperwork, simple data entry)
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Consistently follow policies and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and full Australian work rights - are a must.

Pay & Benefits

Competitive hourly rate based on experience + super. Overtime opportunities may arise during peak periods. (We're happy to discuss expectations at interview).
