Portland RSL Club is in Portland, an historic NSW mining town which is part of the gateway to the Central West. The Club is small but is the heart of the town. With a growing membership of 900, the Club offers Keno, TAB, Functions and Poppies Bistro.

We are looking for an exceptional team player with a welcoming smile to deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests. You will thrive in a fast-paced team environment and will have the ability to work efficiently and be able to demonstrate initiative in quiet periods. Committed to customer service, you will take pride in your appearance, your workplace and will demonstrate exceptional communication skills to our members and guests.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

  • Deliver prompt, friendly and polite service and assistance to our members and guests
  • Prepare drinks and basic food for guests
  • Maintain accuracy in all cash handling procedures
  • Ensuring effective replenishment of food and beverage products
  • Operation of Keno, TAB and gaming machines
  • Maintaining floor cleanliness including table clearing, glass and plate collection
  • Ensure all RSA and RSG legislative requirements are enforced
  • General cleaning duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes:

  • RSA and RCG Certificates (essential)
  • Previous experience in gaming or bar services. Previous experience working in TAB/Gaming services will be beneficial
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A history of accurate and efficient cash handling is essential
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Remuneration will be in accordance Level 3 - Food and Beverage Attendant which is available via Registered and Licensed Clubs Award MA000058 pay guide, current rates set out below.

Casual Pay Rates:

Standard hourly Rate: $33.38

Saturday rate: $40.05

Sunday rate: $46.73

Public holidays: $66.75
