Geelong Aquatic Centre is a privately owned and operated swim school with two heated, salt-chlorinated pools and a strong reputation built over nearly 30 years in the Geelong community. We specialise in Learn to Swim programs, school swimming, and water safety education, and we pride ourselves on offering a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment for families across the region.
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced swimming instructors to join our dedicated team. Our instructors play a key role in teaching essential swimming and water safety skills while fostering confidence, enjoyment, and a lifelong love of the water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Learn to Swim lessons in line with Geelong Aquatic Centre's teaching standards
- Provide a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment for children of varying ages and abilities
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and swimmers
- Assist with water safety education and progression assessments
About You:
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a current Swim Teacher License (through AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or Life Saving Victoria)
- Hold a current CPR certificate
- Hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience as a swimming instructor
- Be available to teach during school hours on weekdays
- Be reliable, professional, and passionate about teaching swimming and water safety
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive, community-focused team

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $31.57 – $36.87 per hour
