We are seeking a skilled and flexible Chef who is passionate about great food and delivering excellent service. This role is ideal for an all-rounder who is comfortable working split shifts Monday to Friday. As the leader in the kitchen, you will help drive the evolution of our menu, lead a small but dedicated team, and maintain the high standards that our guests expect.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and consistent service.
  • Create and price seasonal menus in consultation with management, focusing on quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, including stock control, ordering, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure that all food safety standards are strictly adhered to, including cleanliness and proper food handling.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local suppliers to source the best ingredients.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff, providing training and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
  • Handle customer feedback, addressing any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee stock rotation and manage deliveries efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Manage kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order.
  • Be willing to work split shifts Monday to Friday, ensuring that operations run smoothly during peak times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role in a busy, high-volume environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a small team.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and menu planning.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work split shifts Monday to Friday, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team management.
  • Ability to adapt to a growing restaurant environment and contribute to its ongoing success.
  • Passion for creating high-quality, seasonal dishes and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
