The opportunity

Are you passionate about designing cloud infrastructure that's secure, scalable, and built to last? At IMDEX, we're seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer for a 6 month fixed term contract. This role will help shape the future of our global technology platforms. You'll work at the heart of our cloud transformation—implementing robust Azure Landing Zones, automating deployments, and collaborating across architecture, security, and DevOps teams.

What you'll be doing

This is a hands-on role where precision, automation, and collaboration come together to deliver high-impact solutions. Your day-to-day will include:

• Deploying and configuring core Azure services: Networking, Identity, Compute, Storage, Monitoring
• Implementing secure and scalable Azure Landing Zones aligned with approved architecture
• Applying Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi
• Ensuring governance and compliance through Azure Policies, RBAC, and Management Groups
• Collaborating with architects and internal teams to meet delivery timelines
• Building CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment and updates
• Producing clear, supportable documentation for all delivered infrastructure
• Delivering solutions that are secure, resilient, and cost-optimised

To be successful

You're someone who combines deep technical expertise with a practical mindset. You know how to build infrastructure that works—not just in theory, but in production. You're confident working independently, yet collaborative when it counts. To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

• Proven experience implementing Azure infrastructure in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework
• Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi
• Solid understanding of Azure networking and security (VNets, ExpressRoute, RBAC, Key Vault)
• Experience with CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams
