Claims
team at
JLT Public Sector
(a company of Marsh). This role will be based in the
Brisbane – Newstead
office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Claims Assistant
We are seeking a Claims Assistant to provide administrative support to our Queensland claims team who manage liability, motor and property claims on behalf of our clients.
This role is hybrid with flexible working arrangements. The role involves liaising with internal staff, clients, claimants and providers in an administrative capacity via telephone and email. It is important that you're comfortable working in an office environment with a high level of administration and communication skills both via email and telephone.
What can you expect?
Your role as a Claims Assistant in the Brisbane team will entail:
- Lodging client incidents/claims into systems including uploading documents against correct claim records
- Completing administrative tasks quickly and accurately with attention to detail into databases
- Provide administrative support
- Compliance with H&S Policy
- Grow understanding of insurance, develop relationships with and promote the interests of the public sector business
- Liaising with clients, claimants, and service providers
- Preparing correspondence to assist the claims team
- Regularly reviewing and updating claims information as required
We would like you to have:
- Excellent customer or client service skills, with proven experience
- Ability to enter information accurately and swiftly into databases
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels with consideration and respect for ethnicity and cultural diversity
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products to support administration requirements of the role
- Able to manage changing priorities and accept and adapt to changes within those priorities
- Motivated to succeed through being results oriented while maintaining client focus and a professional attitude
- Willing to accept responsibility and accountability for own decisions and work
- Ability to be a self-starter and be self-motivated.
