About the Opportunity

We're currently seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will be part of a supportive crew of dedicated tradespeople, delivering a range of high-quality projects across the Commercial, Industrial, and Residential sectors.

This role is based in Mackay and includes travel to project sites across Queensland—so a willingness to work away from home is essential.

We're currently seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will be part of a supportive crew of dedicated tradespeople, delivering a range of high-quality projects across the Commercial, Industrial, and Residential sectors.

This role includes travel to project sites across Queensland—so a willingness to work away from home is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from construction plans, drawings, and specifications

  • Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, fix-outs, and fit-offs

  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinetry, and flooring

  • Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors on-site to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times

  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

  • Conduct quality checks to ensure finished work meets Baguley Build standards

  • Assist with formwork, concrete preparation, and minor general labour when required

  • Provide input and practical solutions to on-site challenges

  • Support apprentices or less experienced team members when necessary

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

  • A relevant trade qualification or certificate

  • A strong safety mindset and the ability to work unsupervised

  • Diverse experience across different project types

  • A current unrestricted Driver's Licence

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to various sites
