As we expand our footprint across the Australian market, we're seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive national sales growth and customer engagement.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will lead new business development across key verticals including construction, infrastructure, mining, and utilities. Your deep industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and strong network will support the growth of Atkore's premium cable protection systems throughout the region.

This role is ideal for an experienced B2B sales professional looking to represent a trusted global brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business development across targeted industries and regions
• Engage directly with electrical contractors, specifiers, consultants, and distributors
• Identify project opportunities and manage the full sales lifecycle
• Promote Atkore's extensive product portfolio: cable tray, conduit systems, raceways, and more
• Develop and nurture long-term client relationships
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to deliver customer-driven solutions
• Attend industry trade shows and represent Atkore at client and project meetings
• Report regularly on pipeline performance, competitor activity, and market trends

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in business development or technical sales within the electrical, construction, or infrastructure sectors
• Strong understanding of cable management, electrical raceways, or related products
• Self-motivated, autonomous, and results-driven
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Existing network within the electrical contracting or wholesale space
• Ability to travel as required within Australia
• Contractor or independent rep structure preferred
