At Newart Commercial Furniture, we assemble and install quality loose (boxed or flat-pack) furniture across Queensland — from stylish offices and vibrant schools to luxury resorts and modern hospitals.
We're looking for a practical, reliable, and detail-driven Furniture Assembly Supervisor to join our friendly Cairns team.

Your Day-to-Day
- Take ownership of furniture assembly jobs from start to finish — both on-site and in our warehouse.
- Work with our Project Coordinator to plan daily and weekly assembly tasks through our on-line portal and face-to-face meetings.
- Lead and support existing contractors to complete assembly projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Hands-on assembly and installation of all types of commercial furniture — from office chairs and height-adjustable desks to storage cupboards and steel shelving. Some items don't have detailed instructions, so good problem-solving skills are a must.
- Work across a wide variety of industries and locations around Cairns — every week brings something new.
- Use hand and power tools confidently (no trade certificate required).
- Represent Newart with professionalism, pride, and a positive attitude.
- Enjoy a healthy balance of warehouse and on-site work.
What We're Looking For
- Physically fit and able to handle furniture items safely.
- Skilled with hand tools and comfortable reading assembly instructions.
- Trade-minded with strong practical and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer-literate, you'll need to access our in-house systems for scheduling charts and job dockets.
- Organised and detail-focused.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and customer-friendly.
- Police check (or willing to obtain one).
- Willingness to travel occasionally for projects.
