Collections Officer - 12 Month Max Term Contract

North Sydney | 4 Days a Week in the Office

We're seeking an experienced Collections Officer to join our team on a 12-month maximum term contract. Based in our North Sydney office (with four days onsite), you'll play a key role in supporting customers, managing repayment solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct inbound and outbound collection calls with empathy and professionalism
  • Negotiate, implement, and monitor payment arrangements
  • Identify customers experiencing financial hardship and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Manage accounts end-to-end, including investigations and skip-tracing where required
  • Keep accurate records of all customer interactions and ensure compliance with industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a collections or credit control environment
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to balance customer needs with business outcomes
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and record-keeping discipline
  • Resilience in managing a high-volume, fast-paced workload

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to hardship, repossessions, or legal recovery processes
  • Industry accreditations or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • A collaborative and pragmatic approach to problem solving
