Role Purpose

The Part-Time Sales Assistant plays a key role in delivering an elevated, personalised client experience while supporting the commercial performance of the boutique. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, achieving sales targets, and upholding the Rachel Gilbert brand standards across service, presentation and operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Experience & Sales

  • Deliver a warm, personalised and luxury-level customer experience at all times
  • Build genuine relationships with clients through confident styling, consultation and product knowledge
  • Drive sales through relationship-led selling, clienteling and follow-up
  • Support bridal, occasion and Signature appointments with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Convert fitting room activity into sales through confident styling and solution-based selling
  • Manage client holds, appointments and follow-up in line with company guidelines

Brand & Product Knowledge

  • Maintain strong knowledge of current collections, Signature styles, classics and upcoming launches
  • Communicate key product features, fit and styling options clearly and confidently
  • Represent the Rachel Gilbert brand values, tone and aesthetic at all times

Visual Merchandising & Store Standards

  • Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness and visual merchandising
  • Support VM updates and window changes as directed by the Store Manager
  • Ensure fitting rooms are styled, organised and presentation-ready

Operations & Team Support

  • Process sales accurately through POS systems
  • Assist with stock handling, replenishment and stockroom organisation
  • Support opening and closing procedures as required
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve store targets
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and WHS guidelines

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in premium or luxury retail (fashion preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in styling and advising clients
  • A customer-first mindset with a natural ability to build rapport
  • Professional presentation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and late trade

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.25 – $40.97 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
