Sandstone Quarry Manager

About the role

Kincumber Quarry is seeking an experienced Sandstone Quarry Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Kincumber, NSW-based quarry. This is a full-time position based on-site, responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our sandstone quarrying business.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise quarry productivity and efficiency
• Grow the sales of our quarry products with brining on new clients too purchase products
• Managing any EPA requirements
• Manage all aspects of quarry operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance
• Lead and motivate a team of quarry technicians, operators, and support staff
• Analyse market trends and customer requirements to inform product development and pricing strategies
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Report on key performance metrics and provide recommendations to senior management

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (5+ years) in a senior quarry management role, preferably in the sandstone mining industry
• Must have a contact list of clients who can buy our product straight away
• Thorough understanding of quarry operations, including extraction, processing, and logistics
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental sustainability
• Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering, geology, or a related field would be highly regarded
