Role Description
The Data Specialist will be responsible for managing, organizing, analyzing, and maintaining data to ensure its accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems and business functions. This role plays a key part in supporting data-driven decision-making by ensuring the integrity of organizational data and enabling efficient data access for reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in working with data systems, with a passion for turning raw information into meaningful insights.
Key responsibilities include collecting, validating, cleaning, and transforming large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data quality and usability. The Data Specialist will assist in developing and maintaining databases, dashboards, and automated reports to support strategic and operational objectives. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, resolve discrepancies, and support projects related to business intelligence, performance analysis, and data governance.
The role also involves assisting in data migration, integration, and system updates, ensuring that information flows seamlessly across platforms. The Data Specialist will contribute to documentation, process optimization, and compliance with data security and privacy standards. They will help identify opportunities to improve data systems and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, information systems, or a related discipline.

- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB).
- Experience with data visualization or reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and documentation standards.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple data tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting data findings clearly.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with an openness to learning new tools and technologies.
