Yo-Sho Japanese Eatery is a cozy Japanese cafe in Port Mellbourne, serving freshly made sushi, hand rolls and hot meals. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality Japanese-inspired food and a welcoming experience for our customers.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sushi Maker to join our friendly team.
You don't have to be a professional sushi chef- we'll provide training. What we're looking for is someone who's reliable, hardworking, and enjoys making good food with care.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and make various sushi rolls, nigiri and other Japanese dishes following recipes and standards.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and freshness at all times.
Assist with kitchen prep work and ingredient preparation.
Maintain a clean and tidy workstation, basic kitchen hand duties.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
Support other team members during busy periods.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a sushi shop, cafe, or kitchen.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently during busy hours.
Reliable, punctual, and with a positive attitude.
Availability for weekdays and weekends (roster-based)
Can work independently.
