Exclusive Escapes is the largest provider of holiday accommodation in Southwest, WA. Based in beautiful Dunsborough, with properties from Busselton to Margaret River. Our aim is to provide the highest possible service for our guests and owners.
The role of Maintenance Technician is to ensure that our homes are presented in the best possible way, to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay. It is also vital that we are looking after the owner's asset to the highest standards.
Highlights:
- Potential to earn over $70,000 a year
- Fully maintained work-ute provided
- Expense credit card provided
- Family orientated workplace
- Great team culture
- Amazing work location
This position works as part of the maintenance team and alongside the cleaning teams, reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator.
The person that will thrive in this role will have the following skills and traits:
- An eye for detail
- Great customer service
- Clear communicator
- A problem solver
- A strong work ethic
The role is divided into these main areas:
1. Pre-guest arrival inspections of houses
Complete all pre-guest inspections within your zone and coordinate with the other maintenance staff members to ensure every house is 'guest ready' prior to their arrival. This is managed through regular toolbox meetings and allocation of properties.
Undertake general maintenance items as required at the time, such as swapping gas bottles, replacing light globes, de-cobwebbing, using blower vac to clean around the house as required.
Report any larger problems that may require specialist trades and update our electronic scheduling system.
2. Preventative maintenance at the houses.
Preventative maintenance is assigned as required and completed throughout the week. Carry out non-trade related maintenance as assigned. This will include activities such as gutter cleaning, tree pruning, pest control, pressure cleaning and much more.
3. Reactive maintenance as required.
Urgent guest issues may require some after-hours attendance that is remunerated accordingly.
The nature of the short-stay industry is that there are often last-minute requests from guests, requests for maintenance during their stay or help required at a property for specific issues. This role involves a level of reactive maintenance and prioritisation of activities to allow for this. You must be flexible in your work to allow for this.
4. After-hours & Weekend On-call.
Urgent issues arise during guest stays that affect their ability to safely and comfortably enjoy the holiday home which requires after-hours attendance to provide a solution to these issues and peace of mind to our guests. This responsibility is shared by the maintenance team, with the support of executive on-call assistance. The on-call component of this role is scheduled on a rotating roster once a month weekend on-call.
The position is full time, 40 hours per week. 4 weeks leave is provided, which is to be taken on agreement with management at a time of year that suits, outside of peak periods. You will be required to be available for peak periods such as school holidays, Christmas and New Year, and public holidays.
Applicants must live within the Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River Region, or be willing to relocate to the area prior to commencement. You must be able to provide a current police clearance and have a manual drivers license. The role requires you to be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects such as wheelie bins onto a ute, or linen bags up to 15kg.
If this sounds like you, please hit apply now.
