Full Stack Developer
at Canberra location.

Role:
Full Stack Developer

Location of work: Canberra, ACT

Length of contract: 12 months + 24 months of extension

Security clearance: Australian Citizen

Overview:

Reporting to the Software Developer Team Lead, you will work with senior internal business stakeholders to build a shared understanding of expected outcomes, whilst managing competing priorities. You will be someone that enjoys working in a rapidly evolving and forward-thinking environment and will exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and the application of practices and procedures; in providing detailed technical, professional, and/or policy advice in relation to complex problems. You will be proficient in front end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript), programming languages (C#, PowerShell), databases (SQL, TSQL), reporting (SSRS, PowerBI), APIs, web services, mobile development and Microsoft Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, GitHub Advanced Security and more)

The key duties and responsibilities of the Java Developer include, but not limited to, the following:

Design and develop effective software solutions utilising best practice methods to meet business needs and provide recommendation for continued improvements.


• Contribute towards Blood Sector System development including Smartphone applications.


• Perform analysis, maintenance, and remediation of existing systems, including providing support with technical or complex business requirements while contributing to automation.


• Contribute to the integration of software across multiple platforms and environments in the National Health Sector.


• Build effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.


• Provide support and maintenance to the Blood Sector Systems, while also supporting the ongoing improvements to development practices and security in line with the Information Security Manual (ISM).

  2. Technical competence is also determined by assessing the candidates against the requirements of the position.


• Experience: 1. Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role. 2. Delivers on intended results and outcomes.


• Capability: 1. Availability and capacity to undertake the role. 2. Ability to develop and contribute to innovative solutions. 3. Candidate demonstrates ability to resolve issues and involves others as appropriate.
