  • Schedule: 9-day fortnight, 38 hours per week
  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  • High-level construction, maintenance, and repairs for diverse structures.This role requires someone with a wealth of experience in carpentry.
  • Operational oversight and mentor-ship of apprentice staff.
  • Identifying and rectifying issues to ensure buildings are maintained to high standards.
  • Ensuring safe, efficient use, storage, and security of all tools and materials.
  • Communication and customer service skills. Maintaining excellent relationships with building occupants, staff, and the public.
  • Safely towing and assisting with the assembly/dis-assembly of a mobile stage (6.50m x 4.00m x 4.25m high).
  • Completing all required reports and adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent formal training/qualification).
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter at an advanced level of knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to act in a supervisory capacity when required.
  • Highly motivated, reliable, and committed to quality craftsmanship.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to WHS responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, public, and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
