Job Summary

CNC Machinist – Ongoing Role | Mt Druitt, Sydney

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified CNC Machinist to join our growing team in Mt Druitt, Sydney.

This is an ongoing role that involves:

• Programming, setting, and operating a Mori Seiki MV-65/60 VMC and a Daewoo Puma CNC Lathe (both running on Fanuc controllers)
• Working with conventional lathes and milling machines as required

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist to be part of a dynamic and expanding company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with CNC machines (milling centres and/or lathes) to successfully produce the desired product.
• Interfacing with various team members to achieve the desired outcomes.
• Setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Selection of best tool and manufacturing method for application.
• Verifying components to the manufacturing specifications and tolerances (QC).
• Reading and understanding technical/manufacturing/engineering drawings & specifications.
• Understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.

Skills & Experience:

• Trade qualified machinist.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• CNC machining experience, (setting, operating and programming).
• Proficient in the use and calibration of measuring equipment including Vernier Calipers, Micrometres, etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a commitment to quality.
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Fusion 360, SolidWorks/SolidCAM experience advantageous.
