About the role

DocTel is onboarding multiple experienced medicinal cannabis prescribers to deliver regulated telehealth consultations to eligible patients across Australia via our secure platform. This role suits practitioners who already prescribe (or are authorised to prescribe) medicinal cannabis and are seeking flexible, session-based telehealth work with full administrative support.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct telehealth consultations and assess suitability for medicinal cannabis
  • Prescribe in line with TGA Special Access Scheme (SAS-B) and/or Authorised Prescriber requirements
  • Develop treatment plans, provide follow-ups, and monitor clinical outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with governance and record-keeping obligations
  • Operate within DocTel's clinical governance framework

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience with medicinal cannabis prescribing and relevant compliance pathways
  • Strong understanding of TGA and state/territory regulatory frameworks
  • High clinical standards, ethical decision-making, and strong documentation
  • Telehealth experience preferred
