The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Midwife (Antenatal, Postnatal and Lactation Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide clinical guidance and leadership to members of the team
- Work in partnership with women and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide professional midwifery knowledge, skills, and expertise for quality midwifery practice
- Possess developed problem solving skills and ability to promote a harmonious workplace
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time (one full time position and one part time position X hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $107,960 -$115,604 per annum or $ $58.30 per hour

The Antenatal, Postnatal and Lactation Services unit aims to provide excellent family centred care to women, infants and their families. We aim to achieve optimal health outcomes by co-ordinating and providing evidenced based antenatal, postnatal and lactation support in a timely manner within the hospital, home and local community.
