Civmec's Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) division, Balanced Machines, designs the next generation of balanced machines, reclaimers, stackers and shiploaders providing materials handling solutions, for the mining sector across Australia. Our machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-art Henderson facility, followed by on-site installation, commissioning and handover to our clients.

Civmec are currently seeking a Senior Lead Project Engineer to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machine Engineers, you will enjoy a full project scope of work including design, engineering, execution, and final completion for our clients.

The Role
Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating project deliverablesUnderstand and implement quality control techniquesAttend progress meetingsManage project design and engineering function, ensuring engineering deliverables are metMonitor and review design changes to assess the effect on project budget and scheduleAttend regular progress meetings with both internal and external project stakeholdersTechnical preparation and evaluation of vendor packagesReview and approve technical deviation/query requests and maintain TDQR registerMaintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposesTo effectively lead an assigned group of personnel responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing, construction and commissioning work teams;Interface with all project functions, including design and engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning and handover; About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

Tertiary qualifications in Structural, mechanical, electrical, Engineering or Construction ManagementMinimum 7 years in a similar rolePrevious experience with Balance Machines, stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders and other material handling equipmentPreviously worked on design, engineering and installation projects, ideally in the mining, materials handling or oil and gas sectorPreviously worked in a similar leadership roleSound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost controlling toolsSound knowledge in design and engineering toolsProficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office SuitesExcellent written and oral communication skills Civmec + You
