We are seeking a reliable and organised Yard Person to play a key support role in maintaining the upkeep of our yard. This position is responsible for managing and controlling tool and equipment , issuing and receiving items, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all tools are safe, well-maintained, and readily available when needed. The ideal candidate will take pride in keeping the yard clean, efficient, and running smoothly to support our project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general yard duties, including mowing of lawn, weeding, removing waste and rubbish
  • Ensuring the yard and office is kept clean and tidy and organised at all times.
  • Cleaning of vehicles, plant tools and equipment are clean.
  • Manage, issue, and track tools, plant, and equipment
  • Conduct regular checks, maintenance, and tagging of tools.
  • Assist in house mechanic with tools and repairs of vehicles
  • Assist with service and repair of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools in and out.
  • Support site teams with timely tool supply.
  • Ensure safety compliance at all times.
  • Load and unload equipment from vehicles using safe loading and unloading procedures.
  • Order supplies and replenish stock
  • Pickup and delivery of supplies from suppliers and to site where needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a construction environment (preferred).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • White Card (mandatory).
  • Full Car Licence
