PROCESS WORKERS

Golden Cockerel is a well-established and successful family-owned poultry processing company, proudly serving the industry since 1973. Our head office and state-of-the-art processing plant is located in Mt Cotton, where we take pride in delivering high-quality poultry products to our valued customers.

We have multiple opportunities to join our Food Manufacturing teams within our Mt Cotton site. You would be responsible for performing a range of tasks related to the manufacture of Golden Cockerel products. Our teams are looking to fill multiple roles on the Early Morning AM (4am start) or Afternoons Shifts (11.50am start) which are spread across all days of the week.

  • Mt Cotton location

  • Monday to Friday roster

  • Competitive pay, overtime, and shift allowance

About the Role:

  • Working on the food production lines

  • Manual handling & transportation of tubs of up to 20kgs

  • Working on your feet within a temperature-controlled environment

  • Handling of food to align with correct food handling procedures (GMP & HACCP)

  • Inform Leader Hand/Supervisor/QA (or other appropriate person) of any issues impacting quality or food safety in a timely manner

  • Cleaning equipment and workspace to an appropriate standard as required

  • Able to work as a part of a production team that supports each other

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to learn Food Safety practices, HACCP and experience with WH&S principles

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 20kg in some positions

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, reliability and punctuality.

  • Team players with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently

  • Sound communication skills, including understanding of and conversational ability in the English language, both written and verbal
