Freight Assistant

About The Role
We are looking for a motivated Part-time
Freight Assistant
to join our
Perth Airport Depot
and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of airport-to-airport freight cargo.

Previous Airside Equipment experience (such as operating main deck loaders or pushback tugs) is desirable, and an aviation background is highly regarded.

• Part-time role, 30 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GSE safety checks and ensure correct cargo dispatch with documentation.
• Record and transmit freight manifests accurately.
• Assist clients professionally and maintain strong working relationships.
• Complete and follow training in Dangerous Goods, Load Restraint, and Security.
• Follow safety requirements, report hazards, wear PPE, and participate in safety initiatives.
• Comply with company policies and the TGE Code of Practice, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to service quality improvements.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of aircraft load control and CASA rules.
• Competent in MS Office.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, work independently or in a team, and communicate effectively.
• Self-motivated and proactive.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's License
• ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
• Forklift License.
