Topgear Automotive is located at 42 Main North Road, Prospect, SA 5082, in the heart of Adelaide. We are a growing and reputable automotive workshop dedicated to delivering high-quality mechanical services and exceptional customer care.

We are seeking qualified Motor Mechanics to join our team at our Main North Road workshop.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting proactive and preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on light vehicles and mobile equipment. This is a permanent full-time position offering stability, professional growth, and a supportive team environment.

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and servicing light vehicles.
• A proactive approach to preventive and reliability-centred maintenance.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and understanding of Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• A solid understanding of basic mechanical and maintenance terminology.
• A willingness to contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

• A current Australian driver's licence or ability to obtain one within one (1) month of commencing employment.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Servicing vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and manuals.
• Performing scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning.
• Testing and repairing electrical systems including lighting, ignition, instrumentation, and fuel injection.
• Ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety procedures.
• Diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling engines, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, and related components across various vehicle models.
• Repairing exhausts, brakes, hydraulic systems, suspension, and fuel ignition systems.
• Completing tune-ups, brake services, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
• Reassembling, testing, cleaning, and adjusting repaired components using appropriate tools and instruments.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and machinery in proper working condition.
• Upholding cleanliness of the workshop and adhering to all safety requirements, including use of protective clothing and gear.
