What you'll be doing?

• Product Development: Design, develop, and deploy solutions, working closely with engineers and product managers to deliver features to global customers.
• Technical Expertise: Build and debug product features primarily in PHP/Laravel, with opportunities to work with other languages and environments.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Play a key role in managing AWS infrastructure, including environment configuration, deployment automation, and security best practices.
• DevOps Implementation: Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline development for scalable, secure deployments.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate knowledge sharing and advocate for engineering needs to non-technical team members.
• Leadership and Innovation: Take initiative in achieving goals, improving processes, and identifying opportunities for cross-team collaboration.
• Customer Support: Assist with escalations from customer onboarding and support teams, ensuring optimal user experience.
• Agile Practices: Actively participate in agile ceremonies and code reviews, contributing to a collaborative development environment.

Who are they looking for?

• Strong Technical Foundation: You have robust computer science and software engineering fundamentals, with a passion for algorithms and performance.
• Backend Expertise: You're highly competent in backend development, with deep knowledge of PHP & Laravel.
• Cloud Proficiency: You have hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Versatile Skill Set: You're comfortable working across both application and infrastructure layers of a product.
• Solution-Oriented Mindset: You can identify solution options, weigh trade-offs, and propose scalable software architectures to solve business problems.
• Effective Communication: You have a strong ability to communicate technical concepts to various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You excel at breaking large projects into manageable tasks and delivering through collaboration.
• Relevant Experience: You have at least 5 years of commercial experience building software products.
• Qualifications: You hold a qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Security Clearance: You can provide a National Police Certificate or Working with Children Check.
