About the role
Pitcher Partners Brisbane's Risk Advisory Team offers a comprehensive range of risk management and assurance solutions to help our clients navigate challenges, drive improvements, and seize opportunities. These services include internal audit, risk consulting, process improvement, control assessments, and third-party assurance.
This opportunity sits within our Internal Audit team, working with a diverse range of clients across the public and private sectors.
We are seeking a motivated Internal Auditor to join our growing Risk Advisory Services team in Brisbane. This permanent, full-time role provides the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients and deliver meaningful insights to enhance their risk and control frameworks.
Your client portfolio will include public sector organisations, not-for-profits, and private businesses, offering exposure to a variety of industries and challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating client risk profiles and implementing risk management strategies.
- Dive into financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and identifying potential discrepancies.
- Work with senior auditors to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide practical recommendations to improve processes, controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Prepare detailed and insightful reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their operations and tailor audit approaches to meet their unique needs.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal audit methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients at all levels
- Help assess the effectiveness of controls, offering insights to enhance operational efficiency.
- Build relationships by supporting audits that add value to their operations.
Who we're after
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven professional who is passionate about internal audit and risk management. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience in internal audit, risk management, or a similar role within professional services or industry.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications
- Knowledge of internal audit standards and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
