About Us

Comtex is a leading provider of integrated electrical and security solutions across construction projects in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician to lead the delivery of commercial security installations including CCTV, access control, and intercom systems on major construction sites across the greater Sydney region.

The Opportunity

As a Security Installation Technician, you will be part of a team responsible for the installation and delivery of a wide range of electronic security systems, including:

· CCTV

· Access Control

· Alarms

· Intercoms

This role requires someone who can work independently on construction sites and commercial environments, delivering high-quality workmanship and supporting our project managers to meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission security systems to Australian Standards
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Read and interpret plans and wiring diagrams
  • Maintain tools, materials, and documentation to company standards
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with WHS policies

What You'll Bring

We are looking for a results-driven professional who can lead from the front and ensure our projects exceed client expectations. You will bring:

  • Proven experience installing security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, intercoms)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Security Licence (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Current Driver's Licence
