About the Role
The Production Engineer will provide technical support for production and suppliers to ensure quality products can be made, effectively and efficiently. This position will also manage the implementation of engineering changes for established/release products, and ensuring company IP protection.
Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Support production of high quality products with, production fixtures, handling equipment design.
- Develop Production documentation to support assembly and testing of machine sub-assembly.
- Coordinate/ implement new production assembly processes, for all area, including mechanical assembly.
- Support all suppliers with Technical Support, in completion of samples and technical requirements of all TNA Parts and products.
- Support Quality Coordinator to Respond to customer complaints on any Quality issues resulting from Production Assembly. Coordinate corrective action for any improvements required for production processes.
- Coordinate all PRD/ design changes, implemented on time with no obsolete stocks or delivery delays, that can affect our customers.
- Support all part shipping and packaging requirements with good design of packaging to ensure safe parts, efficient handling and less packaging material waste.
- Provide support to TNA Buyer's in coordinating when inspection is required of each supplier order/ delivery, to ensure delivery schedule is not affected.
- Provide support to General Manager as required.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Degree In Mechanical Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects in mechanical parts manufacture and mechanical assembly.
- Understanding of production processes,
Experience:
- At least 3 year's experience in a similar role, production/ process engineering
- Experience in Complex Mechanical Machine assembly and production.
- Experience using ERP system in production environment.
- Experience in preparing pivot tables, and production schedule.
Skills:
- Proficient in use of ERP system, and ability to check BOMs, inventory and generate production plan.
- Able to multi-task and handle work pressures in a chaotic work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient/ fluent in English
- Excellent PC skills including a very good understanding of spreadsheets and their applications within a quality inspection environment
- Fluency in English.
