About the Role
This position is a role within the Group's financial control team and responsible for ensuring the Bank's financial reporting requirements are met and systems and controls are continually developed enabling timely, efficient and accurate reporting to Executive Management.
The role will primarily focus on the monthly and annual financial accounting for the Group and subsidiaries combined with the day-to-day activities of the finance function.
You will provide oversight and mentoring to Group Financial Accountants, while assisting other Senior Financial Accountants and Group Finance Managers in ensuring the Bank meets it management and statutory reporting deadlines.
Furthermore, you will be required to support the Group Financial Control manager in the consolidation and standardisation of financial control activities to drive efficiency and enhanced controls, providing a platform to transition to the target future state following the broader Finance Transformation.
About you
Experience
CPA / CA/ICAA qualified (or international equivalent) Experience
Multiple years experience as a mangaer in an accounting role, ideally within a financial control function
Proven technical accounting skills and implementation of new accounting standards.
Proven people leadership skills
Knowledge & Competencies
Ability to work directly with other Financial Accounting staff
Consistent ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision from management.
Understanding of control frameworks
