We are seeking a full time Mechanical Engineering Technician who will be able to work independently or as a part of a team, reliable and will be rewarded with a great salary also a friendly and supportive work environment.
The Role
You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting our HVAC installations, service operations, preventative maintenance, and workshop facility.
Your daily responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist mechanical engineers in the design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems across residential and commercial sites.
- Prepare drawings, plans, charts and diagrams to support HVAC and air-conditioning projects, using technical data and specifications.
- Conduct and record tests, measurements and performance checks on HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Install, modify and maintain mechanical equipment and HVAC assemblies, including compressors, ducting, pumps, chillers and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out adjustments or repairs to mechanical and HVAC systems to restore efficiency and functionality.
- Collect and analyse technical data; prepare reports and documentation on performance, test results and maintenance outcomes.
- Estimate material and equipment costs, prepare quotations, and monitor usage of spare parts and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, including safe use of tools, machinery and workshop equipment.
- Liaise with engineers, managers, suppliers, and clients to support the planning and implementation of HVAC projects.
- Provide guidance and technical support to workshop or site staff, ensuring correct application of maintenance procedures and installation techniques.
Work Experience and Skills
- Relevant qualification
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability for mechanical / HVAC equipment.
- Solid hand-on skills: able to work with tools and machinery; manual competence.
- Clear understanding of safety practices; commitment to workplace health & safety.
- Organisational skills: keeping equipment, inventory, documentation, and schedules well managed.
