The Accelerated Recovery Team is a multidisciplinary unit within the Occupational Therapy Department at Townsville University Hospital. This team delivers early rehabilitation to patients in acute wards, supporting recovery and discharge planning. As part of the Allied Health Services Division, the unit fosters innovation, collaboration, and high-quality patient care.

Competitive salary and benefits
  • Salary between $64.64 – $69.55 per hour (HP4).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.

About your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Occupational Therapist to join the Accelerated Recovery Team at Townsville University Hospital. You will deliver high-level rehabilitation services in acute care, lead service improvement initiatives, and mentor junior staff. This role offers professional autonomy, leadership development, and the chance to contribute to innovative models of care in a supportive environment.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Ability to operate a class C motor vehicle and provide proof of licence.
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.
  • Compliance with Queensland Health's VPD requirements.
  • A probationary period may apply.
