This opportunity is engaged as an initial 9 month fixed term contract role.

The Role

As the Head of Financial Planning & Performance, you will play a critical role in shaping the organisation's financial strategy and ensuring the CFO and executive group have the insights they need to deliver sustainable outcomes. You will be responsible for leading planning cycles, overseeing reporting and analysis, and guiding financial decision-making across the organisation. This is a highly visible role, working closely with the executive leadership team and the Board, while also mentoring and building capability within the finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the organisation.
  • Oversee performance reporting and deliver actionable insights to the CFO, executive leaders and the Board.
  • Drive financial modelling and analysis to support major projects, investments, and service delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, building capability and engagement.
  • Partner with operational leaders to enhance financial literacy and accountability across the business.
  • Champion process improvement and systems development to enable timely, accurate reporting.
  • Oversee treasury and cashflow management to ensure long-term sustainability.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualified finance professional with extensive leadership experience.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, treasury, capital management and performance reporting.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing high performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives, Board members, and operational leaders.
  • Experience within complex environments (ASX, health, aged care, community, or large NFP desirable).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and commercial acumen.
