About Us

Assisi Aged Care (Assisi) is a provider of residential aged care services, located in the leafy north eastern Melbourne suburb of Rosanna. It was established as a not-for-profit organization for Melbourne's elderly Italian community predominantly of the Catholic faith. Assisi is close to public transport and 30 minutes from Melbourne's central business district.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable individual who is interested in joining a motivated and committed team to provide high standard of cleaning services, upholding strong infection control practices. The casual role provides relief at short notice for other employees on leave. Shift times are 10.00am to 3.00pm, weekdays and weekends if required. Preferred candidates will have some prior cleaning experience, however on the job training will be provided. Our ideal candidate will have permanent work rights in Australia, a passion for cleaning and be comfortable working in an aged-care environment.

Key Selection Criteria

• Willingness to undertake cleaning duties to a high standard
• Ability to follow written procedures and attention to detail
• Ability to plan and manage workload and adhere to time frames
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to positively engage with people of all ages
• Fluency in English
• Ability to speak Italian (highly desirable)
• Permanent working rights in Australia
• Successful applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Check
• Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination is strongly preferred for this position.
