About the role

Rehab Care Australia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Adelaide, SA. In this casual role, you will provide tailored support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and community events to promote their independence and social inclusion
  • Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a respectful and person-centred manner
  • Collaborating with the client, their family, and the wider support team to develop and implement individualised support plans
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation to monitor client progress and outcomes
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and high-quality service

What we're looking for

  • A demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support to individual needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
  • A keen interest in promoting the independence, dignity, and wellbeing of people with disabilities
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
