Job DescriptionThis is a remote position.Job Overview:One of our Australian clients -Raw Construction, is seeking for aCivil/infrastructure Estimatorto join their team as a dedicated in-house estimator. This is a key role responsible for managing all estimating activities, including tender preparation, cost analysis, and bid submissions for a wide range of civil construction projects.The successful candidate must be proficient in usingPronamics Expert EstimationandAgTek(for cut/fill and head maps) and will have proven experience delivering accurate, timely, and competitive estimates.The Client's Projects Typically InvolveSite clearing and grubbingDetailed and bulk earthworksRoads, kerbing, and drainage worksTo submit approximately 20 tenders per month, with project values ranging between $500,000 and $2M.Client website:Key ResponsibilitiesTendering & Bid PreparationReview and analyze tender documentation, drawings, and specificationsIdentify project scope, risks, and opportunities in contract documentsPrepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil works (earthworks, drainage, utilities, structures, roads, kerbing)Submit tenders in line with client requirements and deadlinesQuantity Take-Offs & Cost AnalysisPerform detailed quantity take-offs using digital take-off software (Pronamics Estimation expert & AgTek)Develop and maintain unit rates for labor, plant, and materialsBenchmark costs using historical data, subcontractor quotes, and market pricingAssess indirect costs including preliminaries, overheads, and risk allowancesCollaboration & ReportingEngage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive quotesProvide clear, itemized Bills of QuantitiesPrepare clarification lists to address discrepancies and mitigate risksLiaise with project managers, engineers, and directors to ensure alignment of estimates with project deliveryRequirementsProven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry (minimum 5+ years preferred)Strong proficiency with Pronamics Expert Estimation and AgTek software is requiredSolid understanding of civil construction methods, including earthworks, drainage, and roadworksStrong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tenders simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentWhat The Role OffersOpportunity to lead and manage estimating for diverse civil projectsCompetitive salary package (commensurate with experience)Supportive and collaborative work environmentExposure to a steady pipeline of projects valued between $500K – $2MOngoing training and development within a supportive teamBenefitsPermanent WFH ArrangementFixed day-shift Schedule (Australian time)'Commensurate with experience' Remuneration PackageSUMO In-house & outdoor company events such as Team Building, Christmas Party, Quarterly Meet-Ups, Team Huddlecheck(event) ; career-website-detail-template-2 => ,meta)" mousedown="lyte-button => check(event)" final- final-class="lyte-button lyteBackgroundColorBtn lyteSuccess" lyte-rendered="">
