Learning for Excellence, a trusted local tutoring centre with over 10 years of experience, is seeking a passionate and reliable Mathematics Tutor to join our team on a casual basis.

We provide a supportive learning environment for high school students (Years 7–12) and are looking for someone who is confident in explaining Maths concepts clearly and engagingly.

Job Details:

  • Position: Casual High School Mathematics Tutor
  • Location: Prestons, NSW 2170 (in-centre)
  • Hours: Casual – afternoon/evening shifts and weekend availability preferred
  • Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to high school students (Years 7–10; extension to Years 11–12 is a bonus)
  • Prepare or deliver structured lessons based on the NSW curriculum
  • Help students with homework, exam prep, and understanding core concepts
  • Track student progress and provide feedback
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong understanding of high school Maths (Year 7–12)
  • University student or graduate (Education, Maths, Teaching, or related fields preferred)
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and explanation skills
  • Patient, friendly, and passionate about helping students succeed
  • Reliable and punctual

Pay:

  • Competitive hourly rates (based on experience and year level taught)
