About the role

At Ozhose, we have an exciting opportunity for experienced Fire Suppression / Hydraulic Hose Technicians to join our team in Groote Eylandt.  Potential employees can be based in Darwin NT or Cairns QLD preferably.

What you'll be doing

  • Inspect, test, maintain and repair fire suppression and hydraulic hoses
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fire suppression systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing to keep systems functioning optimally
  • Install and commission new fire suppression and hydraulic hoses
  • Provide technical guidance and support to our customer on the proper use and care of their equipment
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work undertaken

What we're looking for

  • Recognised trade qualifications in Fire Protection, Hydraulics or a related field (Not essential but desired)
  • Excellent knowledge of fire suppression and hydraulic hoses and components
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Commitment to working safely and upholding all relevant safety standards
