About the roleWe are currently seeking applications for an Environmental Scientist in our Brisbane office on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant would work within our environmental management service line, which typically includes the following diverse range of projects across numerous Local Government Areas:
- Environmental Authority applications for a variety of business types (typically extractive industries, chemical storage and various manufacturing activities).
- Site Based Management Plans for various heavy industry developments.
- Construction Environmental Management Plans and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
- Waste Management Plans for various proposed developments or compliance audits.
The role would also involve working across our other service lines as required to assist with field work and reporting for ecology, bushfire, contaminated land and other projects.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Be fit and able to undertake field work and in some cases in remote locations (overnight stays may be required).
- Excellent written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Be able to work as part of a small team and contribute ideas and innovative approaches to project challenges.
- Technical reporting and research skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Preferably, graduate to 2 years' experience.
- A degree in environmental science or a related discipline.
- Proficient at Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with Arc GIS or similar packages (preferred but not mandatory).
- A current Australian driver's licence is mandatory.
