Join GKR Transport – Villawood, NSW

We're looking for a reliable Yard hand / Forklift Driver to join our busy Villawood depot in an ongoing casual role Monday to Friday. This hands on position suits someone that is proficient in forklift loading operations , physically fit and thrives in a fast paced transport yard.

Shift Times are:

  • Monday & Friday: 10:00am – Finish (typically late evening)
  • Tuesday – Thursday: 10:00am – 6:00pm approx

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently load and unload linehaul trailers and local PUD fleet vehicles
  • Operate forklifts to move various freight safely around the depot
  • Strap, restrain and secure general freight safely and efficiently
  • Conduct load checks, reporting any damages or issues
  • Assist with general yard duties including truck gates, sweeping, and hazard control
  • Work closely with drivers and depot staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

  • Current Forklift Licence (minimum 2 years' experience in a busy depot preferred)
  • Proven experience in general freight handling and load restraints
  • Proficient in loading & unloading linehaul and local trucks
  • Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork
  • Physically fit and able to assist with manual handling and yard work
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment medical, police and D&A checks.
