Poultry Hatchery Assistant

Our client is currently seeking Hatchery Assistants for their Hatchery in Mareeba. With a strong focus on team culture, safety, and fast paced environment.

The position involves working in a Poultry Hatchery with a variety of duties. Working UP TO 20-30 hours per week.

Starting at a rate of $31.61 p/h + $5 daily attendance bonus with the potential to gain more hours. Must be available for early morning starts and flexible with start times.

Shifts are Mon,Tues,Thurs & Friday starting from 7am

Potential for career progression and may lead to permanent employment.

Must be residing in Mareeba, Locals encouraged to apply

Duties will include:(but not limited to)

• Counting hatched chicks
• Sorting eggs and stock rotation
• Cleaning transporter baskets
• Heavy lifting may be involved
• General site cleaning
• Operating a gurney

To be successful:

• Must have your own transport and driver's licence
• Residing in MAREEBA OR Suburbs around NOT cairns
• MUST be DOUBLE vaccinated
• Must NOTown or have any birds, chickens, or pigs at your residence
• Be fit and healthy
• Great numeracy skills
• Enjoy working in a fast passed environment
• Be flexible and available for various shifts
• Have Birth certificate or passport
