About This Job
With the College embarking upon a transformative strategic journey in 2025, the role of Deputy Principal (K-12) will provide pivotal leadership championing a culture of continuous growth and improvement, strengthening community connection, and supporting the implementation of our strategic vision.

The Deputy Principal (K-12) is a key conduit connecting Kingswood's junior and secondary schools, unifying teams and having direct oversight of all operational and educational matters to ensure cohesive delivery and improvement outcomes across the entire school. The Deputy Principal reports directly to the Principal, with overarching responsibility for daily operations and educational leadership. The role has several direct reports including Heads of School, Chaplain, Counsellor, Nurse, and Cocurricular Leaders.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate The Ability To

  • Uphold and actively champion the College's values within a culturally diverse and aspirational K – 12 co-educational setting.
  • Enhance student outcomes, utilising evidence-based pedagogical and curriculum expertise, leveraging strategies, research and evidence in data.
  • Shape and oversee the administration of the College, pro-actively navigating and managing day-to-day operations and complex situations, resource allocation, compliance and risk management.
  • Develop, guide, coach, and mentor Staff, fostering high expectations in terms of wellbeing, professional growth, along with continuous improvement and standards of excellence.
  • Engage authentically, positively and decisively with all stakeholders, build trusted relationships and maintain a visible, active presence.

Offered as a 5-year executive contract commencing January 2026 (or earlier by negotiation), applicants must have the right to work in Australia, hold current VIT registration, and relevant postgraduate qualifications in education (preferably at a Masters level). Similarly, executive experience with responsibility across a whole of school K-12 setting is advantageous.
