About the role: 

• To provide support and assist with ongoing preventative maintenance across all Pallion sites.
• Participate in all maintenance and improvement work alongside senior engineering team members.
• Complete electrical installations and ensure they are carried out safely.
• Assist other internal and external tradesmen with plumbing, electrical and metal works.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
• Construct and wire control panels.
• Ensure that the work environment is always kept clean and tidy.
• Liaise with subcontractors such as electricians and plumbers where necessary.
• Assist the engineering team with other projects as required across the Pallion Groups.
• Work with the machines to improve production workflow and machinery automation.
• Work autonomously on maintenance projects and schedules.
• Any other duties as requested by management.

About you: 

• Health and Safety awareness and active participation in WHS procedures and standards.
• Experience with electric and gas kilns, ovens, Induction furnaces desirable.
• Experience with pneumatic and combustion systems highly regarded.
• Skilled in industrial controls fault finding
• Automation control understanding.
• Ability to work under pressure in peak periods.
• Enjoys 'hands-on' work.
• Willingness to work towards solutions.
• Exposure to industrial electrical installations.
• Electrical trade licence.
• Some PLC knowledge.
• Some robotics experience (Kawasaki) highly regarded.
