Operations Team Leader

The Operations Team Leader is to provide day-to-day direct oversite of all assigned Water Scheme Operators, ensuring all operations and maintenance activities are carried out safely as planned. In addition, he/she will provide technical guidance gained by experience working in the industry at an operational level and/or formal training.
About Us
Altogether is a sustainable private utility providing drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services, embedded energy networks and hot water systems to communities including greenfield and urban infill communities. In total, Altogether is providing utility services to over 400 communities and ultimately 100,000 customers by 2025.
We own and operate 7 treatment facilities and reticulation networks in NSW which will serve more than 20,000 homes and businesses when completed.
Our Water Team drive is creating next-generation water utilities that enable self-sufficient communities and exceed the expectations of our customers through innovation, leadership and smart-thinking.
Core responsibilities
- Ensure personnel act in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Oversee technical operations of water treatment plants, including adjusting chemical dosing and pumping schedules to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure personnel work schedules (leave, location, etc) are provided timely to the Maintenance Planner
- Review completed Work Orders for completeness.
- Attending routine Planning and Scheduling meetings, providing insights and guidance in preparation of future work schedules.
- Develop a working knowledge of business objectives and support them through implementation of guidance provided by the Operations Manager.
- When required, fully support the business in response to emergency situations, including onsite incident management.
- Other suitable tasks as required from time to time.
- Adhere to and provide feedback on company policies and procedures.
- Participate in the on-call roster for out-of-hour work and leave coverage (including weekends and on any of Altogether's water schemes as rostered).
- Model and enforce safe work practices.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and ability to communicate clearly.
- Supervise a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Build a resilient and positive workforce culture.
What will you bring to the role?
- 7-10+ years relevant industry experience
- Cert III Water Industry Operations or higher education
- Current Driver's License
- Water Utilities Industry Supervisor
- Industrial Maintenance Supervisor
- Use of CMMS Systems
- Trade Qualification(s)
